Lawrence Millman

Lawrence Millman, PhD is an award winning travel writer and mycologist who has explored places such as Siberia, the Amazon, Western Samoa, the jungles of Panama, Grimsey, Greenland, and an island north of Iceland on which he was the first mycologist ever to set foot. 

A fellow of the prestigious Explorers Club, whose past members have included Neil Armstrong (moon), Sir Edmund Hilary (Everest), and Jacques Piccard (deep ocean), Lawrence has made over 30 trips to the Arctic and Subarctic. He has discovered a previously unknown lake in Borneo, and there is a mountain named after him outside Tasiilaq in eastern Greenland.

He lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
